Education For Ministry (EFM) -
EFM is a continuing education course which includes study material on the Old Testament, New Testament, Church History and
Theology. While this material is an integral part of the course, the principal focus of EFM is the process of theological reflection. The study material is viewed through the lens of theological reflection. EFM is a 34-week course which meets from late August to mid-May. It is a continuing education program sponsored by The School of Theology of The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee.

Wed@StAndrews for Youth. -
This mid-week program is for school-aged youth from third grade through high school. This program teaches Christian values in an entertaining, non-threatening setting. This program includes Bible study, recreation, worship and dinner. Wed@StAndrews for Youth meets for two 12-week sessions between September and May.

Dinners for Eight
Groups of eight people are randomly assigned at the beginning of each year at a Dinners for Eight Kick-Off. After that, these groups gather for monthly meals in each others homes. These informal gatherings are a sure way to make new friends and deepen existing friendships within the St. Andrew’s community.

Wednesday Evening Study Group
Following the Wednesday evening service of Holy Eucharist, this group meets from 6:15 – 7:15 p.m. in the Rector’s Office. The group chooses a topic and a text to study. For fall 2008, the group will study the book of Genesis.

Choir
The St. Andrew’s Choir is a dedicated group of musicians who provide choral music at worship services. Choir practice is held on Wednesday evenings beginning at 7:00 p.m.; and on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. All of those who wish to make a joyful noise are invited to become a part of the choir.

Lenten Suppers and Programs
On Wednesdays, following the 5:30 p.m. service during the Lenten season, a simple supper of a variety of soups, bread, fruit and cheese. A short Lenten program is presented during the supper hour.

St. Andrew’s Teas, Luncheons and Dinners
St. Andrew’s gourmet events are well-known and well-attended by people all over southwestern Oklahoma. Be it a formal dinner, an elegant luncheon or high tea, there is a job for all willing St. Andrew’s parishioners at the fund-raising events.

St. John’s Baptist Church Feeding Program
Volunteers from St. Andrew’s buy, cook, and serve meals to Lawton’s hungry five days each month at St. John’s Baptist Church in southwest Lawton. Both male and female cooks donate one day a month to serve on a cooking team. Volunteers are always welcome to become part of this worthwhile ministry.

Diocesan activities

Cursillo
Cursillo is weekend adventure of renewal that results in a deeper commitment to Christ and His church. After returning from this short course in Christianity, Cursillitas meet in small groups to continue their spiritual journey.

Episcopal Summer Camp
Summer camp is held at St. Crispin’s for one week each summer per age group. Children in grades 3-12 can attend this fun-filled Christian camp.

All St. Andrew’s parishioners are encouraged to participate as ushers, greeters, coffee hour hosts, oblationers to present the bread and wine at communion, Christian Education teachers for youth and adults, eucharistic ministers, lectors, and eucharistic visitors.
